TerraNova Equestrian Center Announces Exclusive Equestrian Retreat With Boyd Martin
MYAKKA CITY, FL — October 2026 — TerraNova Equestrian Center will welcome Olympic event rider Boyd Martin for an exclusive equestrian retreat, January 1–3, 2027. Bringing together intensive instruction, professional insight and top hospitality, the Boyd Martin Equestrian Retreat offers an opportunity for riders to begin the new year training with one of eventing’s most accomplished competitors.
A multiple-time Olympian and internationally recognized event rider, Martin has built a distinguished career competing at the highest levels of the sport. Known for his competitive drive, technical expertise and ability to develop successful partnerships with a wide range of horses, Martin brings a valuable perspective to riders seeking to elevate their performance in the show ring, on the cross-country course, and beyond.
The retreat will center on two immersive days of mounted instruction on Saturday, January 2, and Sunday, January 3. Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with Martin, gaining practical instruction informed by his extensive experience in international competition. From refining foundational techniques to approaching the demands of competitive eventing, the program is designed to challenge riders, expand their understanding and provide tools they can apply to their ongoing training.
The weekend begins Friday, January 1, with a welcome reception and dinner, bringing participants together ahead of the clinic sessions. Throughout the weekend, meals and hosted gatherings provide additional opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss the sport and connect with other dedicated equestrians.
Riding and non-riding participation options allow guests to engage with the program in different ways. Riding participants will take part in the mounted clinic sessions, while non-riding participants can observe instruction and gain insight into Martin’s training philosophy and approach to competitive riding. Both experiences include on-site cabin lodging, chef-crafted meals, and an intimate learning environment.
Located in Myakka City, Florida, TerraNova Equestrian Center provides an exceptional training environment with six all-weather arenas, purpose-built equestrian amenities and more than 200 acres of grounds. Cross-country training sessions will be held on TerraNova’s world-class cross-country course, famously home to “The Event at TerraNova” with excellent footing and obstacles. Combined with on-site accommodations and organized hospitality, the facility offers participants the unique opportunity to focus on their training without interruption.
The Boyd Martin Equestrian Retreat expands TerraNova’s calendar of specialized equestrian educational programs, bringing leading professionals to Southwest Florida for concentrated learning experiences that support the continued development of horses and riders. Ahead of this experience, the Tik Maynard Equestrian Retreat will be held December 3–6, 2026 featuring an immersive learning opportunity centered on horsemanship, connection with nature, and groundwork.
